Below are some of our favorite ways to spend a perfect day down the Cape

Activities

Day Trip to Nantucket

Take a day trip to Nantucket to explore the many restaurants and shopping options the island has to offer. Book your tickets here through the Freedom Ferry, which leaves out of Harwich (15 minute drive from Chatham). Be sure to book your ticket ahead of time.
Spend a Day in Provincetown

Spend a day at the tip of Cape Cod in P-town! Walk up and down Commercial Street and enjoy the galleries, restaurants and bars. P-town is a great spot for whale watching as well - book tickets here!
Bike through the Cape

The Cape Cod Rail Trail covers 25 miles and 6 towns. Rent a bike from Chatham Hood Bikes and spend the day exploring! Our favorite stops include Devil’s Purse Brewing in Dennis and Cape Cod National Seashore. The trail is largely flat with some spots of elevation.
Truro Vineyards

A family owned vineyard complete with a tasting room and food trucks. Book a reservation ahead of time for either a tasting or a picnic table outside.
Welfleet Drive In Movie Theater

Spend the night at the drive in movie theater. Movies and times can be found here.
Visit the AWSC Center

Learn about one of Cape Cod's most infamous locals - the Atlantic White Shark! Visit the center in Chatham to support their conservation and education efforts. Purchase tickets ahead of time to avoid them selling out!
Chatham Angler's Baseball Game

Stop by Veteran's Field to watch the Chatham Anglers play! Information regarding their schedule can be found here.
Shopping on Chatham Main Street

Spend a few hours enjoying the shops and restaurants on Chatham Main Street. Some of our favorite shops include Mayflower, Candy Manor and Fisherman's Daughter!

Hangar B

A popular breakfast and lunch spot located in Chatham. Watch small craft planes take off while you eat! Arrive early or be prepared for a wait here as they do not take reservations; online ordering available.

Mad Minnow

524 Main Street Route, Chatham, MA 02633

Restaurant with a variety of different foods and craft beers. No reservations, but beware the wait can get long during peak times.

Ember

Coal fired pizza and wings. Reservations available for parties of five or more; online ordering available. No reservations, but beware the wait can get long during peak times.

The Port

Spot for raw bar and seafood dishes. No reservation required; call ahead available. No reservations, but beware the wait can get long during peak times.

Hole in One

98 MA-6A, Orleans, MA 02653

A sit down or grab and go breakfast and brunch spot. No reservation required; mobile order available. Be sure to try the loaded home fries! Lines can be long for breakfast in the summer, so go early or order ahead.

3 Monkeys

Fresh sushi bar minutes from Wychmere. Reservations are preferred (be prepared to wait if you do not have one); online ordering available.

The Rooftop at Pelham House Resort

14 Sea Street Dennis Port, MA 02639

A nicer lunch and dinner option. Reservations can be made in advance through Open Table.

Ocean Edge Terrace

2907 Main St, Brewster, MA 02631

A nicer spot for dinner. Located outside on the patio overlooking the ocean.

Beaches

White Crest Beach

Our favorite beach in Wellfleet (30 minute drive from Chatham). A 15 minute walk on the beach from the famous Beachcomber. Parking is $30 per car per day and you have to hike up and down a dune to access the beach.
Mayflower Beach

A popular beach in Dennis (20 minute drive from Chatham). Shallow waters and tide pools. Parking is $40 per car per day and fills up early, make sure to check the Dennis beach X account here to check if parking is full before heading over.
Lighthouse Beach

Located a few minutes from Chatham Bars Inn. There is a 30 minute limit on parking, so have someone drop you off or Uber / walk.
Nauset Beach

Located in Orleans (30 minute drive from Chatham). Parking is $30 per car per day, with a large lot.
